You know what really bothers me? Websites that auto-size your browser window to match your screen resolution, effectively “maximizing” the browser. The website for one of my favorite bands does this, and it annoys me to no end. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I told myself, “Someone must have come up with some kind of Firefox extension to disable this.” So I started a Google search for it, but while searching, I thought, “Well, maybe Firefox already has the ability to disable it in their options.” After digging around through the options a little bit, lo and behold, I found it!

    Tools > Options…
    Click on “Web Features”
Beside the “Enable JavaScript” option, click on the “Advanced…” button
Uncheck “Move or resize existing windows”

I cannot believe I didn’t find this sooner. You cannot begin to fathom how awesome this find was for me. This is like a small victory over poorly-designed websites. I just thought I’d share. Enjoy.
