Here’s a picture from the Eisley concert (from their official website) that I went to back in April. Can you spot me?
This past Monday was quite interesting. Sometime last week, I bought tickets to the Gavin DeGraw concert in Dallas (that’s right, Gavin DeGraw). Unfortunately for me, none of my friends are Gavin DeGraw fans except my brother, who has “moved on” to other music. I pretty much had to beg the bum to come with me. He finally relented.
Problem was, the Mavericks couldn’t close out the Spurs, so Game 7 was scheduled for Monday night. Guess when the concert was?
With true Maverick fanfare, my brother immediately cursed my name for “forcing him” to go to a concert he didn’t really want to go to in the first place. Quoting Mr. DeGraw himself, I told him to follow through. Begrudgingly, he said he would.
The concert was pretty good. Gavin even gave us the final score of the game during his set. All was well. After the show, I asked Mikey if he still regretted his decision to go to the concert. The show was good enough to alleviate those thoughts. Besides, you can always download the game off the Internet. Here’s Gavin giving us the final score.
The pictures didn’t turn out too great, but they can be found in the gallery.
A thehong.com bonus gallery, David took pictures of Minh, Mikey and Daniel playing a round of golf at The Practice Tee. Enjoy.
Man, it’s been a while. There’s so much I could talk about, but I’ll go ahead and share pictures, instead.
I caught the end-of-tour Eisley show last night. I guess it’s tradition to do goofy stuff on the last show of a tour, because there were lots of pranks and shenanigans for all. A mild sampling: duct taping a mic stand at a ridiculously tall height so that the bassist was forced to sing on top of a gearbox; or lengthening a guitar strap so that the guitar hung at an uncomfortably low level, then duct taping the guitar strap adjuster so that the guitarist couldn’t shorten her strap. Those were some of the more elaborate ones. Other rudimentary pranks included pies to the face and prancing around on stage wearing Depends. Good times.
Go ahead and make your way over to the gallery.
