I dig the new look. As well as the logo of sorts.

Do you go to the theaters every other week? They don’t give you enough work at that place…

I’ve been wanting to see Juno for the longest time, but nobody wants to see it with me, except people who have already seen it!

I haven’t been to the theater much, but I have seen quite a few movies.

Bootlegger . . . making our countrymen proud (#1 in the world).

      What made you watch TMNT?

Nostalgia would be the best answer. Other than that, I have no defense.

    More 2007 Music

Mikey’s list is pretty good. I just have a few additions of my own.

    Eisley – Combinations
A sophomore effort that was actually good!

    David Crowder Band – Remedy
Not my favorite of theirs, but overall, a pretty good album.

    Colbie Caillat – Coco
Not sure why I like this album so much. Maybe it’s because all of her songs sound the same. Haha.

    Luna Halo – Luna Halo
Solid album from beginning to end.

Daphne Loves Derby – Good Night, Witness Light
A good mix of full-band and acoustic stuff.

    Some nice singles:

    Alicia Keys – Lesson Learned
Her best song off her latest, in my humble opinion.

    CRS – Us Placers
Looking forward to more of this.

Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
    The other songs are okay.

    Jack’s Mannequin – Bruised (Acoustic)
Waiting for the Something Corporate comeback.

    Anberlin – Adelaide
I’ve never met a girl named Adelaide, but the name works pretty well in this song.

    Lifehouse – First Time
These guys are always good for at least one song per album.

    Mandy Moore – Extraordinary
The only song I listen to off her new one.

    2007 Music Review

    In no particular order

    MeikoMeiko

    Single: Piano Song

My favorite cuts: Reasons to Love You, Sleep

Member of my “Jenny Lewis All-Stars”* (top 5 female, indie singer/songwriters likely to have or already have had their music on a prime-time TV show, ie: Grey’s Anatomy) Solid album overall. Could very well be my favorite from 2007.

Modest MouseWe Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank

    Single: Dashboard

My favorite cuts: Missed The Boat, We’ve Got Everything

    Kanye WestGraduation

    Single: Stronger

My Favorite Cuts: Stronger, Everything I Am

Feels like two Kanye albums in one, and splits neatly right after Can’t Tell Me Nothing. Starting with Barry Bonds we hear a more experimental Kanye.

    FeistThe Reminder

    Single: 1 2 3 4

My Favorite Cuts: 1 2 3 4, My Moon My Man

I used to think Let It Die was better. That notion may have been pre-mature. Also a member of the Jenny Lewis All-Stars.

    WilcoSky Blue Sky

    Single: You Are My Face

My Favorite Cuts: Sky Blue Sky, Hate it Here

OK, this is my favorite of 2007.

    Honorable Mentions

    MAESingularity

    RadioheadIn Rainbows

    Sara BareillesLittle Voice

    SpoonGa Ga Ga Ga Ga

    Lupe FiascoThe Cool

Guilty Pleasure: The Graduate – Anhedonia

Song Everyone Loves: OneRepublic – Apologize

Franz Ferdinand award for catchiest song: Metro Station – Shake It

    Disappointing

Bloc Party – A Weekend in the City

Dashboard Confessional – Shade of Poison Trees

Agreed on the Meiko album. One of the best of ’07, and it was independently released! Well-written hooky songs, sparse production, relatable lyrics…this girl has a future.
