There’s wide consensus that this year’s NBA Playoffs will be one of the best ever. There are a lot of good matchups, and I think even the most casual basketball fan will be able to get into these games. The Mavericks come into it this year a bit of an underdog, but you never know. We weren’t exactly the favorite going into the 2006 Playoffs, but we ended up making the Finals! You gotta believe!
On that note, watch some of the NBA playoffs this year. You might enjoy it.

No bets with Quan this time around, but the Mavs take game 1 of the regular season match-up against the Rockets. As usual, Tracy McGrady killed us, and Yao had a pretty decent outing. But JET Terry came up huge for us. We needed that big time.

With an entire offseason to forget our first-round collapse, it’s time to get back into the mix. That’s right, the first Mavs preseason game starts tonight. The road back to the playoffs is long (maybe too long), but hopefully we finish the journey unscathed.

Mark your calendar. Barring injury and/or suspension, on February 24, 2007, AI will be coming into town to take on the Mavericks… as a Denver Nugget. I’ll finally get to see Allen Iverson live. I think any NBA fan can appreciate what kind of opportunity this is. I was pretty bummed out when he was deactivated after asking for a trade, you know, before Philly came into town last Friday. But now he’s on another team, with another opportunity to win an NBA title. Good times.
