When I started reading up on the Sandbox theme, I immediately became a fan of the concept. I told myself I’d use Sandbox as the basis of the next theme for thehong.com. I wasn’t fooling myself, though, and we ended up using the plain, vanilla default theme.
So, I figured, might as well grab a design from the Sandbox Designs Competition. Actually, I probably wouldn’t have done it, but apparently, Times New Roman is not an acceptable font to some. 
It’s amazing what you can do with CSS alone (once you have the markup in place).
